The most important element of controlling wasps and bees is to destroy the nest. Aerosol sprays can be used to knock down bees and wasps around the nest. Pesticides in a powder form can be dusted on to the nest, and once activity has ceased, scraping the nest off the structure and destroying it can be accomplished.
Destroying the nest at night is recommended, bees and wasps are hesitant to fly at night. Remember to not use a light, they will fly towards it, if you must use a light, cover it in red cellophane, insects can’t see red light. Also, remember to wear full length heavy clothing.
